"Studio mit Aquarellen" thematisiert Thomas Hubers künstlerische und geistige Auseinandersetzung mit dem Entstehungsprozess von Bildern. Das gemalte "Bild im Bild" vertritt somit den Ort, wo gebildet wird bzw. ein Werk entsteht. Durch den Umstand, dass Huber gemäss eigener Aussage während dem künstlerischen Entstehungsprozess selbst im Bild lebe, im Bildraum verschwinde und mit dem Werk eine Symbiose eingehe, avanciert das Gemälde selbst zum "Atelier des Künstlers".

Thomas Huber's "Studio mit Aquarellen" deals with the artistic and intellectual examination of the process of creating pictures. The painted "picture in the picture" thus represents the place where a work is created. Due to the fact that Huber himself, according to his own statement, lives in the painting during the artistic process of creation, disappears into the pictorial space and enters into a symbiosis with the work, the painting itself becomes the "artist's studio".
