Round-shaped gentleman's wristwatch with subsidiary seconds at 6. Polished two-piece case, with snap-on case-back and "ears"-shaped lugs. Silver colour dial with black painted radial Arabic numerals and yellow gold indexes. 12-120 calibre, lever escapement, Glucydur screw-balance and blued steel Breguet hairspring, index regulator with spring and micrometric screw, adjusted to heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions.
Herrenarmbanduhr mit Kleiner Sekunde bei 6-Uhr. Poliertes, zweiteiliges Gehäuse mit Sprungboden. Silberfarbenes Zifferblatt mit schwarzen arabischen Ziffern und Gelbgold-Indizes. Werk mit Ankerhemmung, Glucydur-Schraubenunruh, gebläuter Breguet-Spirale und Rückerzeiger mit Feder- und Mikrometer-Feinregulierung; Regulierung in 5 Positionen sowie auf Wärme, Kälte und Isochronismus.

The Patek Philippe Reference 1543 is launched in 1943 and remained in production until the late-1940s. The majority in yellow gold, more rarely in rose gold. Around 600 examples were produced.
