The Patek Philippe Reference 3544 is launched in 1973 and remained in production until the late-1970s. The majority in yellow gold, more rarely in white gold. A few hundred examples have been produced, available with different type of dials, bezels and integrated bracelets (Ref. 3544-1 and Ref. 3544-2). This reference is replaced in 1977 by Ref. 3844, the same watch fitted with the new Cal. 215.
Please note that in the Patek Philippe Archives in Geneva, this case Ref. 3644-2 is registered as having an integrated gold bracelet; the current watch no longer corresponds to the manufacture output status, it's therefore impossible to receive today an Extract from the Archives.
It's clear that at the request of one of the owners of the watch, for some unknown reason, the gold bracelet was replaced by lugs allowing the watch to be worn with a leather strap.
