The Patek Philippe Reference 2552 is launched in 1955 and remained in production until the late-1950s. The majority in yellow gold, more rarely in rose gold, even more rarely in white gold and platinum. Around 600 examples were produced.

The watch is so-called "Flying Saucer" by collectors.

Please note that in the Patek Philippe Archives in Geneva, the movement and case numbers of this watch do not match each other; the current watch no longer corresponds to the manufacture output status, it's therefore impossible to receive today an Extract from the Archives.

Probably at the time, the movements and cases of two watches were mixed after leaving the manufacture, perhaps at the American retailer for some unknown reason.
