Marianne Keller Tschirren of the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern confirmed the authenticity of the work on May 17, 2022. It is also registered in the Zentrum Paul Klee database.

On the address side, postmark dated July 2, 1913, and text addressed by Paul Klee to Alfred Kubin (originally in german): “Dear Kubin, I don't want to do anything else now shortly before my departure and look forward to your visit in Munich. You can have the etching without paying. Warm regards from house to house, Klee-Kubin.”

Provenienz: Galerie Kornfeld, Auktion, Bern, 17. Juni 1988, Lot-Nr. 55; Wolfgang Wittrock Kunsthandel, Düsseldorf, 1994; europäische Privatsammlung.

Marianne Keller Tschirren vom Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern hat am 17. Mai 2022 die Echtheit des Werkes bestätigt. Es ist zudem in der Datenbank des Zentrums Paul Klee registriert.

Juli 1913 sowie von Paul Klee an Alfred Kubin gerichteter Text: "Lieber Kubin ich möchte nun doch kurz vor der Abreise nichts mehr unternehmen und freue mich auf Ihren Besuch in Mnchn. Die Radierung kriegen Sie ohne bezahlen. Herzlichen Gruss von Haus zu Haus Klee-Kubin".
