Im Oeuvre von Albert Anker finden sich wiederholt monochrom-blaue Pinselzeichnungen von besonderem Reiz. Der von ihm dazu verwendete unverkennbare Farbton, der aus seiner Fayencefarbenpalette stammte und an das berühmte Deck'sche Blau erinnert, wurde daher auch "Anker-Blau" genannt.
